It comes from gradually building a practical collection of reusable practices that people can revisit whenever they encounter similar situations at work or in daily life.

This week, the library grew substantially across many categories, including communication, leadership, organizational design, history, learning, relationships, personal development, and wealth. Many of these books contain dozens of practical recommendations that translate naturally into doctrine cards and discussion-style audio.

The library now contains doctrine based on dozens of books, alongside original doctrine developed from observations, experiments, and practical experience.

As always, each new topic includes doctrine cards for quick review, along with audio discussions designed for commuting, walking, traveling, exercising, and other moments when reading is impractical.

Explore the full library: https://www.intrenion.com/doctrine/

As always, thanks for following along. Not all books translate equally well into doctrine. Some popular business books contain one strong idea repeated in different ways. Others contain many small observations, practices, and recommendations that naturally fit the doctrine format. Building the library is therefore not only about adding more content. It is also about learning which kinds of ideas are worth preserving and revisiting.

Another change is that the library has started to expand beyond GenAI. The first doctrine topics focused heavily on practical AI use and organizational adoption. Over the past week, I added doctrine on communication, leadership, organizational change, strategy, marketing, military leadership, and parenting. The experiment is gradually becoming less about a specific topic and more about finding useful ideas wherever they arise.

New original doctrine

Method Transfer System

Recurring Work Situations with ChatGPT

Service Sourcing Framework

Current book categories

Accounting & Auditing

Collaboration & Organization

Communication, Influence, Power

Leadership & Management

Marketing & Sales

Military

Organizational Change Management

Parenting

Strategy & Innovation

Book doctrine now available

ADKAR

Artificial Intelligence in Auditing

Bringing Up Bébé

Call Sign Chaos

Contagious

Crucial Conversations

Don’t Sit On The Baby

Extreme Ownership

Hooked

How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk

Influencer

It’s Your Ship

Leading Change

Made to Stick

Military Adaptation in War

Never Split the Difference

Obviously Awesome

Radical Candor

Switch

Team of Teams

The Coaching Habit

The Cold Start Problem

The Embedded Entrepreneur

The First 90 Days

The Five Dysfunctions of a Team

The Human Element

The Mom Test

The Signal and the Noise

The Tipping Point

The Whole-Brain Child

Explore the full library: https://www.intrenion.com/doctrine/

As always, thanks for following along. Most experiments don’t last. Some evolve into something useful. Intrenion Doctrine is the latest one.

Intrenion Doctrine is a collection of doctrine cards and audio discussions designed to make useful ideas easier to consume, remember, and apply.

Explore Intrenion Doctrine

Some topics are built from books. Others are original doctrine based on observations, experiments, and practical experience. The goal is simple: preserve useful ideas in a format people can revisit when they need them.

This newsletter is also changing. It will now share updates on new doctrine cards, audio discussions, original doctrine, and related developments.

Several original doctrine topics are already available.

Everyday ChatGPT Practices focuses on practical ways individuals can integrate ChatGPT into daily work and build useful habits around it.

Leading Organizational GenAI Adoption focuses on helping organizations move from isolated experimentation to widespread adoption.

Working With GenAI explores practical methods for using generative AI in everyday work.

Transfer explores how useful practices spread across organizations rather than remaining isolated to individual users.

These topics reflect much of what I’ve been working on recently. Future doctrine will continue to address AI, as well as leadership, organizations, decision-making, communication, adaptation, and professional development.

Thanks for following along. We’ll see where this experiment goes.
